Easter Family Day – Return of the Superheroes – KIDS GO FREE*
Batman, Spiderman, Superman or Storm… Which superhero will you become at our Easter Family Fun Day? Dress up as your favourite character and enjoy a day packed full of Superhero activities!
In the Be Friendly enclosure, you'll find a whole host of outdoor activities**, including an inflatable assault course, climbing walls, bungee run, football penalty shoot-out, kick-ball darts and crazy golf. Have your face painted as your favourite hero and then take a pony ride, next to the course. Our very own mascot will be making his first appearance but he doesn't have a name - do you have a suggestion? You'll be able to enter our competition on the day. There'll be music and games from the Haydock stage and an opportunity to have a selfie with our superhero costumed characters. Inside the stand, you can make your own superhero mask at our creativity craft table.
FREE ACTIVITY PACKS IN PARK SUITE
Children dining in the Park Suite will have their very own face painter and be able to play our horseracing game. There will be specially designed Horseplay activity packs to keep them amused too. Have a selfie with our Haydock mascot and the superhero costumed characters when they pay a visit to say hello.^
NEW FOR THIS YEAR
Take part in our superheroes running race on Haydock's course. Will you be first to the Finishing Post? There will be three races in all: under 6s, 7 - 10 year olds, and over 10s. Places will be limited and registration is on the day, look out for the Horseplay gazebo in the Be Friendly enclosure. Race times are:
1.30pm – Under 6s – Must be signed up by 1pm
2.50pm – Ages 7 – 10 – Must be signed by 2.20pm
4pm – Ages 10 + - Must be signed up by 3.30pm
All children are to arrive at the start point (sign up marquee) ten minutes before their running race begins. All children must be accompanied by a parent / guardian and must sign in, in advance.
SUPERHERO CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION
We're hosting a superhero creative writing competition for all budding authors under the age of 18.
The story should focus on Haydock Park Racecourse and must include a horse, jockey and superhero with a maximum of 500 words.
Helen Skelton, TV Presenter and former Blue Peter host will judge the competition either on or before the Easter Family Day on 31st March. The winner will be announced at the race day.
Entries to close on Monday 26th March and can be submitted via email or post. Please send to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line 'CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION' or to Haydock Park Racecourse, Newton Le Willows for the attention of Marketing – Creative Writing Competition.
All entrants will be eligible to half price tickets at £5 (Be Friendly Enclosure) and under 18s come racing for FREE. Use the promo code “SuperSchool” when booking your tickets.
The prizes are:
1st place - £250 voucher (One4All voucher), hospitality experience at a future race day and story to feature in St Helens Star paper
2nd place - £100 (One4All voucher)
3rd place - £50 (One4All voucher)

**All children’s activity for this event will be in our Be Friendly stand and most activities are outdoor. We advise dressing suitably for the weather on the day.
^All of this activity will be located indoors, in the Park Suite.

Situated above the County Enclosure in the Centenary Stand, the Premier Suite offers sophisticated surroundings from where you can enjoy your days racing.The suite includes bistro dining betting facilities and a viewing balcony overlooking the Winning Post together with access to all County Enclosure Facilities.
Situated directly opposite the Winning Post, the County Enclosure provides access to several areas in the Centenary Stand including:
Formerly known as 'Tattersalls Enclosure'. This is largest of Haydock Park's four enclosures and offers an excellent view of the racing from raised viewing areas. The enclosure also offers access to the Betting Ring, viewing around the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure together with a wide range of bars and refreshment outlets within the Grandstand along with various bars and catering areas.
This area includes an undercover raised viewing area and a caféteria and bar.
Betting is with the tote, on-course betting shops or the on course bookmakers. This enclosure does not provide access to the Winner’s Enclosure or Parade Ring.
Harry's Bistro offers atmospheric dining in the Premier Suite, tables can accomodate up to 12 guests, however, we do cater for larger parties. With stunning views across the course, directly opposite the Winning Post and closed circuit television, racegoers can follow the action from their seats in the restaurant or from the viewing balcony.
