Own a horse with Sir Alex Ferguson, Michael Owen, Paddy McGuinness and Sam Quek MBE
Saturday 9th September - Today, Haydock Park Racecourse officially launch the new and exclusive Jockey Club Haydock Park Racing Club (JCHPRC) with Racing Club Associate Members, Paddy McGuinness, Sam Quek MBE and Michael Owen.
The JCHPRC gives people first-hand experience of racehorses with the star studded associate members. It offers an exclusive insight into preparations for racing, heightens the excitement on a raceday and provides an exclusive Club for members to enjoy the camaraderie of following thoroughbreds all year round.
The Club will feature two horses in training, one with Grand National winning trainer, Donald McCain for the Jump season and another with leading Flat trainer, Tom Dascombe in the Flat season.
With a maximum of 60 members, Haydock Park is delighted to have Sir Alex Ferguson CBE, Paddy McGuinness, Sam Quek OBE, Michael Owen, and Adele Mulrennan as Associate Members of the Club who will provide members with their racing expertise as well as their fun and charismatic personalities!
Paddy McGuinness, Associate Member of the JCPRC, said: “I think the Haydock Park Racing Club is a fantastic idea. I’m a novice to racing so being a part of the Club with Michael, Sam and everyone else, it’s going to be great fun – whether it’s coming to racedays to cheer the horses on or going down the yard. I’m looking forward to the camaraderie and enjoying being part of an exclusive Club.
Jockey Club North West Ambassador and Associate Member of the Club, Sam Quek said: “I am excited to be a part of the Racing Club and being involved in such a fabulous mix of racing fans. Having the unique and prestigious Jockey Club colours will make it even more exciting to support our runners in both the Flat and Jumps.
With direct association with The Jockey Club, it’s provided greater privileges to the members which includes racing at its other North West Region Jockey Club courses – Aintree & Carlisle, allows more flexibility within Haydock Park itself including complimentary badges an exclusive member’s facility on racedays.
Stable visits to the trainer’s yards will also be organised, in addition to many other benefits including annual member lunches,
Jason Fildes, Haydock Park General Manager, said: “I am absolutely delighted that we are launching the Jockey Club Haydock Park Racing Club. It has always been an ambition of the Racecourse to create a Racing Club of this type and not a stereotypical horse racing syndicate.”
“I’m looking forward to being personally involved and will be working hard to make sure the Club is fun, as well as being a huge success. The camaraderie of following horses with like-minded people will be great fun.”
One of the first joining members, Mr Tully said “Quality trainers, both Jump and Flat, Jockey Club stamp – what more could you ask for!”
The membership costs a total of £1,650 (plus VAT) and includes 16 months of high class racing from 1 January 2018 and 30 April 2019.
