How do I get to Haydock Park Racecourse?

When is the complimentary shuttle from Newton-le-Willows train station running?

​On certain racedays we run a complimentary shuttle bus from Newton-le-Willows train station from two hours before the first race with return journeys after racing. To find out if the service is available for the raceday you’re planning to attend, please check the info in the specific raceday page. A full list of dates can also be found here under the 'Complimentary Shuttle Bus' section.

When should I arrive?

Gates normally open two hours prior to the first race, even on quiet day’s traffic around the area and onsite can build up so it is best to arrive in plenty of time. On music nights gates generally open three hours prior to the first race - please check the specific raceday page.

What should I wear?

​This depends on which enclosure you have purchased tickets for. View the dress code page.

Is there parking?

There is ample car parking for most race meetings on site which is free to racegoers. Reserved car parking is available for those in Private Hospitality Boxes and on some Restaurant Packages. Find out more here.

Can I bring children?

Yes, children of all ages are welcome at Haydock Park. All children aged 17 and under gain access to the racecourse free of charge (except for music nights).

Can I get a refund on my tickets?

No refunds will be given on tickets or badges that are purchased and not required or used. Refunds will only be given on tickets and badges if racing is abandoned prior to the first race. For more details, please read our abandonment and refund policy.

Should I Buy Tickets in advance or just turn up?

It is always recommended for racegoers to purchase tickets or badges prior to the raceday. Significant discounts can be made on group bookings (20+) in the Be Friendly Enclosure, Grandstand & Paddock and County Enclosures if the tickets are booked in advance. However, tickets and badges are on sale at each of the enclosure turnstiles (subject to availability). Booking Fees: Over the phone and at the course - £2.50 fee applies Internet - £1.50 fee applies Please Note: If customers opt for collect of tickets on the day they can only collect their tickets on the day of racing. Tickets will not be available to collect beforehand.

How do 'Print at Home' tickets work?

When you book tickets in the Be Friendly enclosure or the Grandstand and Paddock enclosure, you can choose the 'Print at Home' delivery method instead of having tickets mailed to your home addess. If you choose to print your tickets at home, a postage fee won't be applied.

Shortly after booking your 'Print at home' tickets, you should receive a booking confirmation email to the email address used to book with attached your e-ticket (in PDF format). Make sure you print your e-ticket before you arrive at the racecourse as the booking confirmation email alone will not give you access to the racecourse.

If you've booked e-tickets but haven't received a confirmation email, please contact our ticket office on 0344 579 3006 and they will be able to help. Make sure you check your spam folder as well in case the email landed there.

Can I see the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure with my ticket?

All tickets in the Grandstand & Paddock, County or Premier Enclosures as well as badges for our hospitality suites, grant you access to the viewing area around the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure. Tickets for the Be Friendly enclosure (when available) do not provide access to the Winner’s Enclosure or Parade Ring.

On music nights, can I watch both the racing and the live music with the same ticket?

​Yes, all tickets for our music night grant you access to both racing and concert.

I've booked my ticket, when will they be delivered?

If you have selected standard mail delivery, tickets will be sent out in advance of the raceday. Please note that tickets are generally not sent more than two weeks prior to the fixture. However our team endeavours to send tickets as soon as possible. Delays may be possible for popular fixtures, such as music evenings and premium racedays. If you have selected secure delivery a signature will be required on receipt. If you are unavailable at the time at the time of delivery, a card will be left advising you of the sorting office your order can be collected from.

Can I bring my own food into the racecourse? Are picnics allowed?

​Please notice that taking food or soft drinks into the racecourse is only permitted in the Be Friendly Enclosure (when this is open) on certain racedays. Please check the specific raceday pages for more information. Bringing alcohol into the racecourse is NOT permitted in any enclosure.

I'm coming to Haydock Park for a music night, can I bring umbrellas, chairs or any other type of furniture?

​Furniture of any type, umbrellas, barbecues or gazebo type shelters will NOT be permitted into the racecourse on music nights.
